February or April 1978?
The date is variously given here as month 2 or 4. Any clue which is true?

Just FYI
The recording: Warren Zevon Live at The Record Plant on 1978-07-27 is the exact same show as this one, but in better quality

Sweet Home Alabama
It's a good show but there are some vocal lapses and piano lapses. It's just a bit more casual take than I prefer, even for a live performance. Don't get me wrong; I'm a fan and I'm glad I downloaded it. The band of course plays great and it's easy to understand why Warren continually praised Waddy over the years.
At the end of "Werewolves", Waddy plays the well-known riff from "Sweet Home Alabama" over and over and it fits perfectly. There's also the near-reggae beat that Warren sometimes gave this song which gives it a nice, relaxed feeling.
"Lawyers" and "Sleep When I'm Dead" rock especially hard.
Sound quality is below average; dropouts and obvious compression and what sounds like a CD skipping ahead a second or two a few times. The original FM broadcast likely blows this copy away. Love to hear it someday.

Good
This is a really good sounding recording from the time. There are a couple of "skips" but the overall quality is good.
